Mission Statement

Sunshine Tykes exists to promote self-sufficiency in low-income families by providing free to low-cost short-term child care so they can take care of important business. We emphasize developmentally appropriate practices which promote a safe environment that respects the individual child and their family. This will be accomplished through a community of qualified volunteers and other staff who are dedicated to the well-being and growth of children.

Description

We are a part-time drop-by day care and learning center. We provide up to 25 hours/week of child care to families in need of free to low-cost care in order to attend important meetings or who need respite care.

We also provide interactive parent nights where we talk about healthy and fun ways to spend time together as a family.

We rely heavily on our volunteers and honor the time and effort they spend with us. We could not serve the community in this capacity without them.
