The Midwest Citizen Advocacy Panel will solicit citizen input, advocate their concerns, and make recommendations to improve access, service, and accountability to the Internal Revenue Service.
Panel members provide citizen input into improving IRS customer service by identifying problems and making recommendations for improvement with IRS systems and procedures. Panel members hold public meetings at which taxpayers are invited to raise issues concerning their interactions with the IRS. Panel members identify and prioritize the taxpayer issues and make recommendations to the IRS and Treasury on customer service issues and annually report and publish the results of their work.
