Mission Statement

To create a comprehensive plan for the Village of Philmont. Focus is on 5 areas: Living in Philmont, Working in Philmont, Getting Around Philmont, Visiting Philmont, and Looking at Philmont. In addition, a History component is being researched.

Description

Created as a special board under NY State law by the Philmont Village Board, the Comprehensive Plan Board consists of 9 residents. Information is available at http://www.philmont.org under Comprehensive Plan. In 2000, NY State awarded Philmont a technical assistance grant of $25,000 to complete the Main Street Component of the Comprehensive Plan. (This was more than any other village in the state received.)
