Mission Statement

The Baby Blue Foundation honors Baby Blue's short life through prevention of future newborn abandonment and fatalities. The Foundation works to raise awareness about the prevalence, causes and alternatives to neonaticide (death within the first 24-hrs of life due to harm or neglect). Finally, in the absence of family members to attend to funeral arrangements, we help to provide dignified memorial service to newborns who have died as a result of abandonment to neonaticide.

Description

In addition to our primary mission, we are involved in fundraising activities which may include community events. Predominantly, we are a referral organization. We provide women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy alternatives to neonaticide or abandonment. We work to promote the NJ Safe Haven program.
