Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
Catholic Charities has one focus: to give help and hope to people in need regardless of race, religion, or creed.
Catholic Charities Senior Services has assisted senior citizens in the southern Nevada community. The focus of our programs is to help senior clients remain independent, healthy, and in their own homes for as long possible.
Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides diverse opportunites for volunteers, age 55 and older, to serve in many agencies throughout the community.

I wanted to volunteer for Catholic Charities but never connected with, Sara Reiss, the person that answered my initial inquiry. Sara left a message w/her phone number on my answering machine. But since that message I have never spoken with her. I called her 12 times (yes, 12 times, over a few days),at the number she left but there was no answer and no way to leave a message. After a dozen calls I finally reached someone who said she was there but on another line. He took my name and number and assurerd me she would return my call. That never happened. I have since left a message for Sara with two different women but still no phone call. This has been going on for almost two weeks. Obivously, CC does not need additional volunteers and I do not need the aggravation. I am Catholic. I just wanted to give back to the chuch I love so much. I have decided to give my time to an orgization that needs and respects their volunteers. Thank you
