Mission Statement

Penfold Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to opening and operating a live, professional theatre in north Austin metro. Our mission is to empower artists to create work of the highest caliber and to engage diverse audiences with stories that inspire and impact our community.

Description

Founded in 2007, Penfold produces an annual season of plays and musicals. In addition, we offer the following education and outreach programs:

  • The student apprentice program allows high school students to work alongside industry professionals on an actual Penfold production.
  • The artists in schools program places working artists in public school classrooms to teach workshops and masterclasses.
  • The StarCo play reading series offers play readings, free of charge, on a semi-monthly basis.
