Chuy's Children Giving to Children Parade

Description

Over the past 20 years, the Chuy's Children Giving to Children Parade has collected over a quarter million toys for Operation Blue Santa. The parade, which features marching bands, giant inflatable balloons, floats with live music, community groups and costumed children's characters, asks spectators to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate. During the parade, the procession comes to a halt and spectators are invited into the streets to donate their toys.

The toys collected are taken to Blue Santa headquarters. There, they're sorted and delivered to kids in need in the Austin area, along with a holiday meal, in time for the holidays.
