Strengthening Our Community through Lifelong Learning
Over the years, MFLC is proud to have provided lifelong learning opportunities to families from all walks of life. With today's economy and the loss of manufacturing jobs in our area, we receive calls from families who are struggling. Some struggle to make ends meet. Some struggle from lack of education. Some are single parents or grandparents raisong a child. There is no extra money for tutoring or summer camp. MFLC has form community partnerships with area individuals, businesses, civic groups, local schools, and Elon University. Through their support, we have been able to provide educational services, through project L.I.F.T. to families in Alamance County who qualify.
We offer personalized tutoring and mentoring for children, grades pre-k through 12, adults, and seniors. This includes EOG-EOC practice, State Writing Test prep for grades 4 & 7, internet/email classes for adults and seniors, NC Computer Skills Test prep for grades 6-8, "I can read" Phonocs Fun for ages 4-adult, Homewok "Before Dark" assistance, SAT & GED prep, and our Arts & Acedimic Summer Camp.
