Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote literacy in all children, with an emphasis on 0-5 year-olds and disadvantaged communities. Our programs aim to educate parents on the importance of reading to their babies, toddlers and preschoolers, and providing them with incentives to do so.

Description

We run four main programs, all of which emphasize to parents the importance of reading to their children, starting at an early age.

1. The reading incentive program, through which parents will receive help with groceries, diapers, and other basic needs by reading daily to their children

2. The book basket program, in which teen mothers-to-be receive book baskets, literature about reading to their newborns, and applications for library cards

3. The parent education program about the benefits of reading

4. The book donation program
