Mission Statement

At the University Mound Ladies Home, our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable assisted living for women. We serve ladies from diverse cultural, linguistic, and economic backgrounds in a beautiful, homelike environment. We offer an alternative to board-and-care facilities for women who want or need a higher level of socialization.

The leadership of the Ladies Home represents an unprecedented collaboration between eldercare professionals, area universities, and laypeople, all of whom are committed to the vision of an affordable, nonprofit, community-based assisted living option for women in San Francisco. We are working to create a model facility that will be recognized and replicated throughout the nation.
