Field Trip Foundation

Description

Field Trip Foundation (FTF) partners with local public elementary schools to connect their students with outdoor resources in the Bay Area. FTF works closely with educators and, whenever possible, integrates the field trips with the schools' course plans. Our trips are local, but environementally focused. Trip activities include tide pooling, hiking, watching elephant seal colonies, bird watching and visiting local ecological preserves (a partial list). Trips are highly educational and are preceded by an in-class presentation and teacher guides to maximize the educational potential of the trip. The trip curriculum is coordinated with the classes' existing curriculum.
