Description

The Blair County Department of Solid Waste & Recycling is based at the courthouse in Hollidaysbuurg PA.

The Department operates drop-off recycling centers at 10 locations in Blair County.

The Department also operates two composting facilities. The larger site, the Blair County Yard Waste Compost Recycling Facility, is located in Logan Township. The site accepts approximately 30 items for recycling in addition to yard waste. The site produces compost and mulch that are sold to the public, year-round. The second site, the Blair County Research & Demonstration Compost Facility, is located in Blair Township, near Duncansville. The R&D facility accepts the public drop-off of yard waste on a limited schedule.
