Mira Costa Drama Boosters

Description

The Visual and Performing Arts programs at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, CA encompass a variety of areas such as: Drama (Theatre/play production, Advanced theatre, and Media/film/video/television production); Art (Ceramics, Art History, Fashion design, Art appreciation, and Studio art); and Music (Band, Orchestra/symphony, Chorus/choir, Music appreciation/history/literature, Music theory, and Instrumental ensemble). Our auditorium serves not only the visual and performing arts programs, but is also utilized by other departments and the community for various events.

The Drama Boosters and the Drama Department work to enhance the programs through:
(1) encouraging the theatrical training of students in the drama department in every way possible;
(2) making the needs of the students known to the public and to the community;
(3) adequately promoting and publicizing the importance of department's work in the school system; and
(4) assisting in the conduct of an adequate and comprehensive program of theatrical education of value to the students and the community.
