Mission Statement

To assist the Milwaukie Center in educating the citizens about the need for and availability of resources and sevives, especially for the aging and disabled, and to assist the Milwaukie Center financially to provide existing and needed services.

Description

Shortly after the Milwaukei Center was built in 1980, a group of volunteers saw the need for an organization to raise money for and to inform the community about all the services and activities that are offered at the Milwaukie Center. I 1980 the 'informal' group became the Friends ofthe Milwaukie Center, Inc. a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation. Over the past 20 years the Friends have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the Miluaukie Center.
