Valley Elementary Educational Foundation

Description

Our sole purpose as a foundation is to raise money to support Valley Elementary School in Poway. Since Poway has a strong reputation for its top-ranked and thriving school district, it is easy to not realize that many of our students at Valley Elementary are actually struggling. In fact, 52% of students at Valley Elementary are socioeconomically disadvantaged and 52% participate in the school’s free lunch program-that’s an astonishing 222% higher rate than the district average. The Cinco De Mayo Trail Run raises funds that will give all kids equal access and opportunity to the school supplies, technology tools, and enrichment activities needed to build a foundation for lifelong success.
