Description
Beckman Robotics Team (Tru Blu,) operates out of Beckman High School in Irvine, California. For the past two years, we have been led by a small group of parents and educators as we compete in FIRST Robotics. Our mission is to forment youth engineering and design concepts as well as build leadership, team work, and communication skills through a robotics competition format. Tru Blu's vibrant passion and professionalism define our members everywhere they go.
Our mission has guided 2496 to impact over 100 students over the past two years to become leaders, of whom many of whom graduated high school to pursue an engineering-related field in college.
Team members participate in several robot demonstrations a year in the community, to publicize the benefits of science and technology education for all children. We organize camps, fundraisers and presentations to reach out to the community and promote engineering.
