Mission Statement

We are a new chapter of an old organization that is raising awareness about hunger in our local communities. Every year on Halloween, we ask volunteers to join us in canvasing neighbourhoods to collect non perishable food items for the Central Illinois Food Bank.

Description

We need the support of the community and volunteers to help us raise awareness of hunger in our local community. We needs volunteers to donate 1 hour of their time the weekend of Oct 24th or 2 hours of their time on the afternoon of Oct 31, or perhaps both days if they are willing. The event will kickoff at Washington Park at 3:30pm and we will be canvasing from 4-6pm. We will close the vent at the central illinois food bank with refreshments, prizes, and a grand total of the amount of food collected.
