About TELACU

Established in 1968, TELACU is the largest Community Development Corporation and one of the largest Hispanic businesses in the United States. Utilizing one of the most successful approaches to community and economic development, TELACU focuses its more than $550 million in assets on empowering the lives of individuals and families within the communities it serves. TELACU utilizes a significant portion of revenue from its for-profit businesses to fund its wide-reaching non-profit agenda.

The TELACU Education Foundation was created in 1983 to advance educational attainment in communities with crisis-level college dropout rates. For more than a quarter of a century, TEF has contributed to the development of new generations of leaders by providing millions of dollars to thousands of deserving students, ensuring their success by combining important financial resources with highly effective programs. These comprehensive programs include college preparation, mentoring, and academic and career guidance. Each year TEF supports 500 college students, and 100% of these Scholars go on to earn their degree. We also annually serve 2,000 middle and high school students, nursing students and veterans.
