Mission Statement

AARP Experience Corps. is dedicated to helping children to learn to read using the talent and experience of adults 55 and over. Experience Corps. members serve as mentors and tutors to help children gain new skills and confidence in reading.

Description

AARP Experience Corps. members provide one-on-one tutoring in reading to children in k-3 grades. Each tutor works with each child one-on-one 4 hours a week during the school year. A semester committment is required a schoolyear is preferred.
