Description

View the CMAA sponsored YouTube video about the Community Model in Corrections at Southside Regional Jail in Emporia, Virginia. It is a cost-effective, comprehensive offender helping offender program that changes the culture of incarceration and prepares men and women to return to society as pro-social, contributing citizens and neighbors.

Two documentaries are available to you for further information:

1. Full length 19 minute Community Model program documentary.

2. Robert Fuller 22 minute Dignitarian version of the Community Model program documentary.

Filmed in 2008, all current statistics remain remarkable and available for this 24/7, 12 year continuous residential substance abuse program that has served more than 1700 between 2005-2016.

The hallmark of this immersion experience is that the participants are responsible for the community and their own outcome. Their intentional contributions to the success of all participants demonstrates mutual aid and respect as it ends the "us versus them" mindset that typically excludes.
