Hello Visitor! is dedicated to promoting understanding between diverse people while supporting community economic development. Hello Visitor! enriches visitor experiences, furthers community-building efforts, and enhances the worldwide image of participating destinations by connecting visitors with local residents to allow the sharing of perspectives and cultures.

Description

Incorporated in September 2000, Hello Visitor! is a meet-the-people organization which will connect interested Miami Beach visitors with enthusiastic volunteer residents via several hour visits and monthly welcome events. These interactions will help: (1) promote intercultural understanding between diverse people; (2) enhance the friendly image of Miami Beach; and (3) improve visitor experiences and satisfaction with Miami Beach as a destination, increasing visitor expenditures and overall levels of visitation. This hospitality-based concept is modelled after successful programs in New York City, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Australia, and Japan.
