FACTS-Care is a 501 (c) (3) non- profit organization that provides multi-disciplinary educational programs for Cardiovascular-Thoracic Critical Care (CVT) professionals. Its mission is to make the recovery of patient from CVT surgery and interventional procedures faster, safer and move comfortable. Better care....Better outcome.
An annual multi-disciplinary CME conference dedicated to further advancing knowledge and expertise in the complex field of Cardiovascular-Thoracic (CVT) Critical Care. It is designed to bring together the entire team of health care professionals that provide care for patients undergoing CVT operations and procedures, including now endovascular procedures.
The conference is directed to:
- Surgeons, Cardiologists, Interventionalists
- Intensivists & Anesthesiologists
- Critical Care Nurses / Nurse Practitioners
- Physician Assistants
- Respiratory Therapists
The unique physiology, operations and procedures, and potential complications of CVT patients provide the focus for the conference. Experts and world authorities will present the latest concepts, technology, management protocols, and clinical experience in their specialties. The latest strategies for challenging clinical problems will be addressed as well as current controversies.
The program includes faculty presentations, audience-panel discussions and workshops. Medical simulation workshops will be available. Approaches and specific protocols will be related to clinical data so that participants can structure their clinical practice on evidence-based medicine.
With the field of CVT critical care rapidly changing, it is anticipated that participation in the conference will lead to implementation of new concepts, protocols, and technology. The overall goal is to make the recovery of patients from CVT surgery and interventional procedures faster, safer, and more comfortable.
