Mission Statement

The Mission of 600 Million Stray Dogs Need You is to bring an end to the number-two cause of animal suffering in the world -- animal overpopulation -- and to provide the world with an effective, safe, affordable, and non-violent method of controlling animal populations. Our approach is to use the latest scientific advancements and inspire people to volunteer their resources to assist in developing unique, long-lasting, single-dose sterilization pills for animals -- beginning with dogs and expanding to cats and other animals in need, such as horses and farm animals.

Our goals are the following: 1) To free virtually every humane society world-wide of their most expensive problem -- animal overpopulation -- and end the violent killing of over one billion animals each year; 2) To prevent the deaths of the 55,000 people who die every year from being bitten by overpopulated stray dogs; 3) To provide developing nations and low-income individuals with a practical and affordable alternative to costly surgical animal sterilization; 4) To enable agencies to reduce their use of inferior animal overpopulation control methods, the most common being poison, which has many negative effects such as the unintentional killing of non-targeted animals, as well as people.

Description

Spreading the word by forwarding special emails , and interacting with Facebook, Care2, MySpace, etc.

Seeeking in-kind donations / Procurement: Finding printers and others who will donate some of their services! Find people and companies to donate items we can sell online or give as gifts in exchange for donations.

Writing and editing : Edit the website, draft a membership packet: thank you letters, etc.

Write or draft grant applications.
Write recruiting emails to send to targeted websites/groups: scientists, etc.

Website and internet :

Formatting various pages of the website
Find and test an alternative to PayPal on website
Install an option to allow viewers to see the full website without graphic photos.
Get 600 up and running with Twitter, Care2, MySpace, etc.
Figure out and test "Forward this to your friends" feature for the website.

Design, Graphics : Improve the website, design membership cards, etc.

Publicity : Write & distribute news releases, contact reporters; connect: Help Out A Reporter

Online Fundraising : Manage "affiliates", distribute electronic banners to other websites

Set-up fundraising sources such as iGive

Tabling: Organize and participate in tabling opportunities for outreach

Video : Assist with video pre and post production: Flash, compositing, etc.
Help develop PowerPoint presentations

Manual typing : Membership/supporters/volunteers/scientists (Excel, or Word)

If you care deeply about dogs and want to end their dire circumstances around the world, join this team! Every bit of volunteering I do for 600 Million Dogs makes me happy, because I know that I will see the end of suffering and violence committed against my best friends, in my lifetime. It doesn't get better than that. Dog lovers, this is the best and most deserving organization to dedicate some of your spare time to, no question. I highly recommend joining this fantastic team of volunteers!

600MILLIONSTRAYDOGSNEEDYOU IS THE GREATEST ANTI-CRUELTY CAMPAIGN TO EVER COME ALONG! IT CUTS RIGHT TO THE HEART OF ALL THE WORLD WIDE MISERY AND SUFFERING OF DOGS AND CATS. WE DOMESTICATED THEM AND MADE THEM DEPENDANT ON US AND THEN WE ABUSE AND NEGLECT THE HELL OUT OF THEM. THIS PROGRAM HAS TO BE SUCESSFUL.

Because l love animals and do not want to see them suffer. It will make me happy to do something good and right for the dogs
