Our mission is to build and maintain the Mountains of Fun Playground, an integrated, wheelchair-accessible, tots-and-up community playground in a visible, central and accessible location that will also serve as an outdoor public place to meet. We also intend to help strengthen the fabric of our community by giving people a chance to work together on a common project.

We are an all-volunteer group of Healy, Alaska residents who see the need for a better playspace for our children. Currently, we are gathering funds, materials and volunteers following a process developed by Leathers and Associates, architects from Ithaca, NY who have helped more than 1,500 communities around the world build their own special kid-inspired play structures. Their consultants will be supervising construction June 6-10, 2001.
