Mission Statement

The Omaha Quilters' Guild is dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of quilts and the perpetuation of the art and the craft of quilt making through education and participation.

Description

We support our community in many ways.

We supply quilts to various organizations for distribution to homesless people, children in need, newborns in intensive care, teens in crisis, nursing homes and hospice.

We also create quilts to be used by organizations for fund raisers in support of local charities benefiting our community.

During the Christmas holidays, we sew Christmas stockings and solicite the community to contribute cash and items to fill these stockings. They are donated to Nebraska Childrens Services for kids removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

We also give quilts to the "Quilts for Valor" project, "Project Linus" and have sewn for "ConKerr Cancer" among many other charity projects.
