Mission Statement

We send college students into elementary schools in underprivileged areas to create a dialogue with the students about personal responsibility, staying at grade level, graduating from high school, and the opportunities created by pursuing higher education.

Description

The program works with colleges nationwide to train college students to present the semester long program to classrooms of impressionable fifth grade students. Over 125 colleges and 150,000 children have benefited from this wonderful program since it was created in 1994 by the McBride Foundation in New Mexico.
