Provide budget setup, checkbook balancing, and billpaying services to seniors who remain in control of their finances, but need assistance in keeping things in order. Meets with senior client(s) twice a month to ensure prompt and accurate payment of bills, and establishes a filing system to help with reconciling monthly bank statements with checking account. Client meetings can be by phone. For in-person visits, social distancing, mask wearing required.

The Historical Coordinator Volunteer will Help the Agency organize the Mature Life newsletters from 1977 to present, so that the information can be indexed, then referenced in its broader historical context. Primary duties could include: Scan documents to a TEAMS folder. Organize them Chronologically. Name these documents in the folders. Scanning would need to be completed in the office. Naming of documents could be done in the office or at home.

The Newsletter Volunteer Assistant will help to develop quarterly volunteer newsletters that seek to connect and inspire, by interviewing volunteers (and staff), capturing and drafting stories, and possibly taking pictures. Stories should represent the Agency’s diverse range of opportunities and volunteers and highlight the quality of the service experience and impact. This position can be performed virtually. Arrangements can be made for in-person access if needed. * Please note that this is an unpaid, volunteer opportunity. Qualifications: Excellent communication skills Attend training/orientation Ability to creatively transform a volunteer’s experience into a compelling written piece that can be used for multiple purposes including recognition and recruitment Ability to engage in positive interactions with volunteers and staff Ability to conduct fact-finding interviews and identify compelling story components Strong writing and editorial skills Good eye for engaging visual imagery and photography Benefits: Become knowledgeable of programs for older adults in the community. Virtual Opportunity
The Development Volunteer Assistant will assist the Development Director with a short-term project locating specified information for identified contacts in our planning district. There might be the possibility for follow-up calls at another time. In addition, they will assist in the development of a list of places of worship, and libraries in our service area. This project can be done virtually.

TeleBridges volunteers provide support and socialization through brief, weekly telephone checks-ins to make sure an older adult is okay. TeleBridges volunteers will not solve problems, but will provide a listening ear. Training is provided. Your call provides that bright spot in someone else's day.
