Mission Statement

To provide trained and supervised volunteers to advocate for the rights and needs of child victims of child abuse and neglect.

Description

Every year more than half a million abused and neglected children are in need of safe, permanent, nurturing homes. Too many spend years moving from one temporary home to another. They have no family to call their own. They are more likely than other children to face homelessness, unemployment, even prison as adults. That's where CASA steps in. As trained advocates, CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for these children in court. They go through the system with a child, step-by-step, and serve as the eyes and ears of the court for that child. The result is that a child is placed into a safe, loving home where he/she can thrive.
