Mission Statement

Plymouth House of Healing is a transitional living home for adults who have been or are at risk of homelessness due to mental illness. Residents live in community with one another for an average of four months along with four year-long Companion volunteers. House of Healing is a supportive environment dedicated to an individual's recovery from an acute episode of mental illness, hospitalization or life on the streets.

Description

We are a nonprofit organization created in response to a critical gap in our community's mental health care. All too often, mentally ill individuals are treated in the hospital and then released to the streets - alone and with no place to stay. We created Plymouth House as a safe, healing alternative to the streets where those who struggle with mental illness can find the companionship and warm, stable environment they need to continue their recovery.
