Prosperity Partners @ Community Action Marin

Mission Statement

Community Action Marin (CAM) is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) social service agency serving and assisting low-income Marin residents in achieving a life of quality based on self-sufficiency. Serving Marin County since 1966, the agency currently operates 15 programs covering a variety of needs from childcare and AIDS services to energy assistance, family needs and mental health issues.

Prosperity Partners is one of the programs supported by CAM and has three primary goals:

(1) Empower low-wealth Marin residents to build assets and achieve financial independence and prosperity.

(2) Develop a continuum of asset-building opportunities that will move families and individuals along a path from breaking even to getting ahead.

(3) Create innovative partnerships between nonprofits, government agencies and the business community to provide opportunities for Marin residents to accumulate, leverage and preserve assets.
