Greater Birmingham Area Friends Chapter of AMBUCS

AMBUCS is a national non-profit service organization comprised of over 6,000 caring men and women throughout some 120 chapters who are committed to helping create mobility for individuals with physical disabilities.

The objective of our family centered program is to help families with disabled members become more mobile and independent.

The typical family we serve cannot afford the custonized Amtrykes or the funds to build the wheelchair ramps. We either provide the equipment at no cost or at a discounted cost to families. Since Birmingham AMBUCS incorporation in 2007, we have successfully provided over 250 Amtrykes and built numerous wheelchair ramps. Your investment in our program will help us continue improving the quality of life for these families.
