Mission Statement

Virginia/DC FIRST LEGO League (VA/DC FLL) is a separate locally managed affiliate under the global FIRST LEGO League organization.

Description

FIRST LEGO LEAGUE - FLL (ages 9-14) is an exciting and fun global robotics program that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery, science, and technology. Our operating partner VA-DC FIRST supports our FLL program ( http://www.vadcfll.org ). This year, FLL teams will embark on an adventurous Challenge (Smart Move) based on modes of transportation - accessing people, places, goods and services in the safest, most efficient way possible. Guided by a team coach and assisted by mentors, the kids:

• Research and solve a real-world problem based on the Challenge theme

• Present their research and solutions

• Build an autonomous robot using engineering concepts (LEGO Mindstorms NXT)
