Mission Statement
PPC is a California-based community supported social enterprise that focuses on developing whole communities by growing healthy, sustainable neighborhoods. We focus on food security, sustainable living, environmental safeguarding, eco-lliteracy, and community building. We provide unique programs that aid and enrich communities, while moving them toward a more sustainable future.
Started with the purpose of feeding the hungry, PPC utilizes over 3 acres of land, both private and public, to grow edibles, teach organic growing methods and ecology, raise awareness to the issue of food security and promotes community building. PPC is a Sustainable 2.0 organization, a broader consciousness toward sustainable living, which involves a community approach to sustainable living.
As a Social Enterprise, PPC has adopted a social mission driven by the importance of community. One patch at a time, we change perception, engage the public and make a difference in the lives people. With our blended value business model, we've combine a business with a social-value-generating structure and charitable component. While many existing organizations consider themselves to have social objectives, PPC is distinct because of its triple-bottom line and purpose, which is central to what we do and how we operate.
