Mission Statement

To help preserve and restore the Twin Lights lighthouse, maintain a museum, assist with public interpretation and education of New Jersey's maritime history and help the State Park Service maintain the site.

Description

Twin Lights, a National Historic Landmark, is a Civil War era lighthouse open to the public year-long. The site was chosen for experiments in lighthouse technology due to it's close proximity to New York Harbor. These experiments led Twin Lights to become the best and brightest lighthouse in the United States.
