MyLifeLine.org provides FREE, personal websites to all cancer patients to help them easily communicate with friends and family during the treatment process. The patients and caregivers who update the personal websites are Members. The friends and family who read the updates and send messages of support are called Guests. Our organizational activities revolve around web design and development. Making sure our members have all the online tools they need to support them during their cancer experience is our number one priority. Our funding all goes to programming and the costs associated with communicating to the oncology community that MyLifeLine.org is a free resource for all cancer patients. Each member communicates with SIX pages on the personal MyLifeLine.org site: 1. Connecting Updates (patient/caregiver gives health updates), 2. Inspiring Messages (friends/family upload photos & messages to lift the spirits of patient), 3. Helping Calendar (treatments described chronologically where patients ask for help, friends offer help, visiting hours are posted), 4. Learning Links to educate guests about the member's specific cancer type 5. Laughing Medicine page where a Joke of the Day automatically rotates, because everyone needs to smile. Especially in challenging times. 6. Our newest page -- Giving Angels -- allows members to ask the personal caring community to help with medical costs not covered by insurance
