Mission Statement

The goal of the Portfolio Resident Services' "Good Neighbor Program" is to impact communities and the residents within these communities through diverse programs that provide learning enrichment,life skills and cultural diversity. These programs result in higher resident retention, increased property value and self-sufficient residents capable of furthering their education, enhancing their economic standing and maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle.

Description

Our Educational activities assist school-aged children through a wide range of instructional support classes and youth tutoring programs. In addition, we introduce these children to advanced educational opportunities, such as universities, community colleges and trade schools, to further knowledge and enhance learning.

Educational activities also target adult residents with classes in English as a Second Language (ESL), creative writing, GED preparation, computer literacy, job readiness and much more.

Our Health and Nutrition activities encompass a variety of programs that promote health and wellness in residents of all ages. Our goal is to advocate health education, offer nutritional guidance and encourage residents to engage in a more active lifestyle.

Our activities include summer lunch programs, teen health and wellness education, drug and alcohol abuse prevention and awareness, exercise programs, health fairs, cooking classes, immunizations and more.
