Mission Statement

We reduce homophobia and enrich the lives of individuals living in New Mexico who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning through education, advocacy, support, example, and collaboration.

We are a statewide ogranization incorporated in 2008 to establish and operate GLBTQ Community Centers across New Mexico. Our vision is to create a system of six regional centers with outreach programs to the rural areas that surround them. We envision modern community centers providing a sense of community, social opportunities, support services and other activities for the 68,000 gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender individuals in New Mexico.

We currently operate regional community centers in Las Cruces and Gallup.

Would you recommend New Mexico GLBTQ Centers?

I recently graduated with a bachelors degree in Sociology, minoring in Women & Gender Studies. I was blessed with a scholarship for school by PFLAG and felt honored to represent this community through their generous contribution to allow me to go to school. I currently am an intern at PATH in Farmington and would really like the opportunity to be an advocate for equal rights in this area. Working with the homeless has given me a rare glimpse at the necessity for fair employment and housing assistance. This with a community center for a more centralized place to assist the GLBTQ community will place our endeavors in a more solid foundation for growth and stability. I have had some grant writing experience and have many developed a great many resources in the PRIDE community that I believe can assist this organization to excel.
