Mission Statement

The mission of Connecticut Community Boating, Inc. is to offer area residents affordable and fun access to Long Island Sound and its headwaters. We provide a physically and psychologically beneficial experience while keeping our students safety and enjoyment, our first priority. We do this through a complete array of training programs that emphasize self-esteem building, seamanship, teamwork, community consciousness and environmental responsibility, while promoting good stewardship of our greatest natural resource, Long Island Sound.

Description

We are a not-for-profit community sailing organization dedicated ti providing children and families with an opportunity to learn about and explore Long island Sound. We offer childrens programming including summer and afterschool programming as well as adult learn to sail opportunities and membership where adults may use our fleet of vessels for one low seasonal rate. All of our adult fees goes to providing our at risk junior sailors with scholarships to the program so that no child will be turned away for lack of finances
