Mission Statement
To further the sport of quad rugby throughout the US by providing opportunities to compete for a team recreationally or competitively in NC. Open the door for individuals of all ages with impairment or paralysis in all four limbs to live an active lifestyle contributing to self-esteem, confidence, health and fitness.
Description
Founded by Carolinas Rehabilitation and Adaptive Sports and Adventures Programs - the Crash is one of two teams in the state and has recently reorganized as its own non-profit.
The team travels throughout the southeast region of the US competing in tournaments from Sept. to March in preparation for events that determine post-season success both regionally and nationally.
Quad Rugby is a paralympic sport played four on four, on a basketball court. It is a full collision sport played without pads. Athletes are typically spinal cord injured and must be impaired in all four limbs to play.
