Mission Statement

The International Crane Foundation (ICF) works worldwide to conserve cranes and the wetland and grassland communities on which they depend. ICF is dedicated to providing experience, knowledge, and inspiration to involve people in resolving threats to these ecosystems.

Description

The International Crane Foundation (ICF) is a world renowned conservation organization focused on the world's 15 species of cranes and their habitats. ICF was founded in 1973 in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Since then, ICF has worked globally for crane conservation, utilizing a wide range of research, captive breeding, reintroduction, habitat protection/restoration, and education activities to achieve its mission.
