Description
The Center for Assistive Technologies is a division of Goodwill Industries of Southern California that provides evaluation, training and support services to persons with disabilities to enable them to access and use computers and computer-based technologies. Provides a "one-stop shop" where persons with disabilities can try out adaptive software and equipment to select the best options available in state-of-the art adaptive technologies for persons with disabilities. Professional staff include Occupational Therapist, Rehabilitation Engineer, Computer Access Technical Specialist and Physician who assist disabled clients to find the best match possible between their needs and the latest technology available. Customized, one-on-one training on using adaptive devices for computer use; ergonomic and assessments of work sites; equipment installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
