Angel Flight East

Description

Angel Flight East (AFE) provides free air transportation to people of all ages whose special medical needs- including evaluation, diagnosis, and sometimes even lifesaving treatment for chronic conditions that can only be met at health care facilities located far from their homes.

In addition, our volunteer pilots provide 'compassion flights'...such as flying family members to a critically ill or injured loved one's bedside.

AFE was among the first to respond during national disasters. For example, after the horrific 9/11 terrorist attack, AFE was one of the first two non-military organizations to receive clearance to fly. Our pilots flew dozens of missions, carrying medical personnel, rescue dogs, blood and other medical supplies to New York and Washington D.C.
