Mission Statement
Archdiocesan Housing Authority (AHA) is committed to the mission of serving poor and vulnerable populations through the provision of quality, integrated services and housing. Our focus is on people struggling with poverty and the effects of intolerance and racism. We actively join with others to work for justice. In Skagit County, AHA provides clean, safe, affordable housing for low-income, farm-worker families at four separate properties, as well as services and programs to increase quality of life and address basic needs.
Description
Over the course of volunteering with AHA community members will gain experience working with low-income youth in agricultural working families. Volunteers gain experience in teaching to a multicultural and bilingual community. They will learn to develop effective curriculum and gain valuable in service training, which is applicable for a variety of careers choices.
