Description
The Powell Center for Economic Literacy is a leading resource for the development and delivery of classroom-ready tools and materials for K-12 economic and financial literacy education.
By focusing on training and supporting teachers, the Powell Center enables the understanding and incorporation of economics across all grade levels and subject areas. The Powell Center has a robust, feature-rich website with many programs and tools available to teachers free-of-charge. The Powell Center offers world class seminars, conference, and workshops to increase teachers' understanding of and presentation of economic concepts to K-12 students.
The Powell Center for Economic Literacy advocates introducing economics into the classroom at an early age, across multiple disciplines. Once students understand wants and needs, as well as costs and benefits, they will make more informed decisions.
By educating K-12 teachers and students in real life economics, they will be empowered to pursue a future full of informed choices.
