Mission Statement

Julia's Coffee is a division of Habitat for Humanity Charlotte. Julia's exists not only to support Habitat, but also to create a place where the community can get a sustainable, conscientious cup of delicious coffee. Our certified organic beans are grown in El Salvador and are roasted locally in Durham. We pay above fair market (or Direct Trade) price per pound to ensure that workers are paid a living wage. We chose El Salvador not only for their high quality of shade grown coffee, but also because of Habitat Charlotte's close relationship with Habitat El Salvador. Finca Mauritania, where our coffee is grown, overlooks Santa Ana and hundreds of homes built in El Salvador with hands from Charlotte. This truly gives new meaning to the term "House Coffee".

Description

Aside from delicious coffee, cold drinks, and sandwiches, Julia's Coffee has a large selection of like new books in the coffee shop. We have paperbacks and hardbacks, fiction and nonfiction, and topics ranging from cooking to biographies, as well as a children's section! Can't find what you want in our store? Check out our online store on amazon.com. All proceeds from book sales in both the store and online benefit Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte.
