Description

AARP Tax-Aide is the nation's largest volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service, preparing tax returns and answering tax questions free of charge. AARP Tax-Aide is a program of the AARP Foundation and is offered in conjunction with the IRS.

Several Reasons: 1- After completing someone's tax returns, you have a very real sense of helping your community. 2 - Preparing taxes is a very good brain exercise. Most medical people think brain exercise helps to delay dementia. 3 - The training helps you to prepare your own taxes. 4 - You get to meet a variety of people, many who may not be in your normal circle of friends.
