In 2002, it was incorporated as a 501c(3) to act as an umbrella organization to foster cooperation, communication, and collaboration among animal welfare groups in North Central Florida in their efforts to increase adoptions, increase spay/neuter, and decrease euthanasia of dogs and cats.
