Mission Statement

The mission of RSVP is to promote volunteerism in the community and recruit, place, and retain volunteers 55 and older in local non-profit, community support, health care or government agencies.

Description

RSVP involves individuals age 55 and older in service opportunities that match their personal interests and life experiences. For more than 20 years, RSVP in Moore County has worked with non-profit agencies to identify community needs. Over 550 volunteers donated nearly 50,000 hours of service in Moore County during 2006. The program is partially funded by a grant through the National Senior Service Corps, a part of the Corporation for National Service, and is sponsored locally by the County of Moore.
