The Twin Cities Girls Chorus will build a program of musical excellence for the young women of the Twin Cities area that will be recognized throughout both the choral and wider communities for its artistic creativity, quality education, abundant diversity, community partnerships, and superior professionalism.

Description
The Twin Cities Girls Chorus is a new organization founded to provide an enjoyable and educational choral experience to young women of the greater Minneapolis and Saint Paul metropolitan areas.
The Twin Cities Girls Chorus was formed out of a desire to provide high quality musical education and choral experience to young women of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to this, we provide an opportunity for young women to come together in fellowship while being actively involved in the community at large. TCGC has performed with the Moscow Ballet, Minnesota Orchestra, the ENCORE! group of the Minnesota Women's Choir and many other community performers. We especially focus on multicultural folk music from around the world as well as quality repertoire from classical and contemporary choral genres.
Our choral program is open to all girls in grades One through Ten. Young women complete a simple audition process and are placed into one of our two choirs.
Mezzo Choir
This ensemble is open to students in grades kindergarten through fourth. The Mezzo Choir rehearses once per week on Monday evenings for an hour and a half. The Mezzo Choir students focus on learning 2-part pieces and partner songs, musical notation and theory, and performance practices.
Concert Choir
The Twin Cities Girls Concert Chorus is our premier performance choral ensemble. This choir is open to all young women in grade five through ten who pass a slightly more rigorous audition. Prerequisites for the Concert Choir include at least one year experience in a school or community based choral program, and previous experience in part singing. The Concert Choir rehearses once per week on Monday evening for an hour and a half.
In addition to the school-year program, the Twin Cities Girls Chorus hosts an annual Summer Music Camp. It is an exciting and affordable opportunity for aspiring musicians. TCGC Summer Music Camp is open to all girls entering grades K-10 in the fall school year. Camp participants enjoy a week full of music, creativity, friendships, and most importantly, FUN! At the end of the week, camp participants put on an amazing concert for friends and family.
