The Leelanau Historical Society inspires people to explore the past, understand the present, and envision the future of the diverse cultures in the Leelanau Peninsula and its islands.

Description

To fulfill its Mission, the Society: • Operates the Leelanau Historical Museum. • Collects, documents, preserves, and makes accessible objects and information. • Provides a center for research. • Creates interpretive exhibits, programs, and publications. • Seeks out and encourages participation of the people of Leelanau County. • Collaborates with local, state, and national partners.
